The Depot Restaurant...my dad's office is right behind here and our house is right across the street. This is where I have been working part time...(I am a prep cook/dessert plater/painter...I painted this WHOLE building just a few weeks ago! Let's just say I am so glad to be done with that job...but it sure does look nice now!) The train used to come up to the street and stop here. The train ran by the tide tables...The Clamshell Railroad.

Here is a picture of the beach house! This house used to only be my family's weekend gettaway and we'd travel here from Kirkland/Seattle (which is about a 3.5 hour drive). But once the youngest of 4 (me!) went to college, my parents decided to move here full time...so now Seaview is our home! Living here and not in "the big city" was a shock to me but I'm getting used to it. I'm starting to love how the whole town knows you after a while...and everyone is just more relaxed and not in such a hurry all the time...it's nice. (There are only about 400 people in Seaview and about 2,000 on the whole peninsula!)

So I know this picture doesn't have much to do with my 2005 summer....but Nan found it and scanned it. l love this picture! (Me, my dad, and Aura in '95.) Aura and I were best friends and that's how our parents met! (My dad and Nan have been married for 6 1/2 years) This picture made me both happy and sad when i saw it. It made me happy because it reminded me of all of the fun times I've spent with my sister when we were younger...but sad beacause she is in Morocco right now teaching in the Peace Corp for 2 years. I miss her so much and can't wait for our reunion come New Years when we are both 21 (We are only 5 months apart). We are going to Las Vegas! Whoohoo!
Here is where I run 5 miles a day! The beach approach is only half a mile away from our front door! The other day when the tide was out I saw a white baby seal on the shore. I walked right up to it and it didn't even move...just looked at me innocently...very adorable! I guess I should bring my camera with me next time. (You always see neat things on the beach) Running on the beach is such a great stress relief and is very relaxing...well, except when hott guys come running up beside you and offer you a "cool refreshment". That can be more of a distraction than anything...a good one though! ;)

After a concert...some friends from Wisconsin (Anna, Caryn, and Danielle) called me...so we decided to document it! See you soon Caryn and Danielle! (They are coming out to the west coast by train to visit me in a couple of weeks for the Warped Tour and just to visit! Caryn plays on NMUs volleyball team with me and Danielle is her younger sister who will be attending Northern next year! Yay!)
